Peggy began her ballet training in England and studied Ballet, Jazz, and Modern in Boston, Washington D.C., New York, and CT. Her ballet background is in the Cecchetti and R.A.D. syllabi, but she has also studied with Vaganova teachers for Ballet, and learned Graham and Horton technique, among others, for Modern. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in Engligh Literature from Georgetown University.
She is an active choreographer in Litchfield County, having worked with various high schools and community theaters for over 30 years, including Litchfield High School, Wamogo, The Warner Theatre, and Goshen Players. She has performed in many productions and directed at the Warner Studio Theater.
She is delighted to be celebrating her 25th teaching year at Deborah's Dance Workshop. During her first ten years at the studio, she helped revamp the DDW Ballet program. She loves to share her passion for the history, traditions, and techniques of ballet with all of her students.
Peggy is our primary ballet instructor, teaching all levels including Pointe. She also choreographs solos, duets and groups for our competition team.
