Dance with Mikki

Meet Mikki Ferrigno

Miss Mikalah started taking ballet and tap classes at a local Torrington studio with Miss Melanie at three years old, and began to add more classes such as lyrical, modern, hiphop, jazz, pointe, and kickline after Miss Melanie's Dance Zone's opening. During her time here she participated in numerous dance competitions, and enhanced her training through workshops with dancers such as Slam, Jason Samuels, Savion Glover, Musa Cooper, Alex Wong, Twitch, and various others.

After 15 years of dance, Miss Mikki graduated high school, and has continued with her schooling while continuing her dance career as a teacher. Now with 23 years of dance experience, she has been a choreographer at the Dance Zone for six consecutive years. Miss Mikki has also taught ballet, tap, and Hip Hop classes for Mrs. Bonasera at the Connecticut Dance Theater, including performances of the Nutcracker, Peter and the Wolf, and other various pieces.

Miss Mikki became a certified instructor through CLI Studios affiliated with the Connecticut Dance Theater in 2020, and throughout her time there as gone on to teach various workshops with non-profit organizations such as Girls Inc., the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, and Reach for the Stars studio in Terryville.

She is extremely excited to carry on her passion for dance here at Deborah's Dance Workshop training young minds to become terrific tap and hip hop dancers.
