Julie Casey

Julie has been studying dance at DDW since the age of 2 1/2. During those years, she has competed in many regional and national dance competitions throughout New England and has won numerous awards. At the American Miss National finals competition in Cape Cod, Julie was awarded the prestigious hone of "Contestant of the Year".

Julie has attended the Manhattan Dance Project Seminar during the summer of 1999 in Phoenix, AZ with Ballet classes offered by Micheal Vernon, Tap with Abron Glover and Musical Theater Fosse style with Bill Hastings. During the winter of 2003, she attended a four day winter intensive Jazz/Hip-Hop seminar with many well known choreographers/Jazz instructors at the the Broadway Dance Center. Also she participates in several workshops throughout Connecticut with instructors Steve Sirico, Jeff Shade and Bill Hotaling. Every summer since 2007, Julie has attended week long intensives for teachers in NYC.

Julie graduated from Northwestern Connecticut Community College with an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2014. Julie will now be attending Post University to earn her Bachelor's degree in Child Studies.
