Jen started gymnastics at age three. In 1999, she moved to Torrington and started taking jazz and acro classes at DDW. Soon after, she added more classes such as ballet, tap, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, pointe and musical theater. Jen participated in both club and team for over ten years. She has participated in competitions with DDW in Connecticut and Massachusetts, winning special awards for flexibility.
Jen has been a part of DDW for over twenty years, dancing all through school and college, coming back to help backstage in the recitals, and then becoming more involved and teaching when her two daughters started dancing. She’s participated in several acrobatic and ballet workshops, has taken classes with Charles Kelley and Steve Sirico, as well as several ballet and jazz classes at Broadway Dance Center. .
Jen teaches our youngest of students in the creative movement classes and helps with acro classes. She also creates all the custom merchandise at the studio!
