Deborah A. Casey, Owner & Director

Deborah has owned and operated DDW for 50 years. Deborah attended a two-year teacher training course offered by Dance Educators of America in NYC. Successful completion of the course enabled her to graduate with high honors and receive a graduate diploma in Ballet and Musical Theater Arts, thus certified by Exam to teach. She attends many seminars, conventions and workshops all over the United States as well as Canada given by Hartford School of Ballet, Manhattan Dance Project, Canadian Dance Teachers Association, Dance Educators of America, Dance Olympus, Tremaine Dance Experience, Dance Teachers Club of Boston, I Love Dance, Jeff Shades Jazz Workshops, LA Underground, Professional Dance Teachers Association, New York on the Road, The School of Dance CT, International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, Connecticut Children's Dance Theater, Connecticut Dance Alliance, The Pulse, Dance Teacher Summit, and Dance Teacher Web.

Deborah is a Lifetime Member of Dance Educators of America for completing over 25 years as a member in good standing. She also studies in NYC at Alvin Ailey Dance Center, Steps, Peri Dance Center, Broadway Dance Center, Phil Blacks and Luigi's Dance Center. She also judges many regional and national dance, talent and modeling competitions as well as pageants.

She is the primary instructor for our Competiton Acrobatic Teams aKa Club as well as the recreational Acrobatic classes. Additionally, she teaches the Ballet/Acro Creative Movement classes and choreographs several solos, duets and trios.
